The city of Dresden gained significance only in the 15th century, when it became the capital of Saxony. After a boom during the Renaissance period, there was great Baroque development connected in particular with the Augustus II. During the Second World War, the city was almost destroyed and since then it has been gradually restored to its original splendour, which you will see for yourself during this tour.
