Hi all, It was pretty hot evening in Prague yesterday. I went downtown to test changes in our mobile audio guide app - Pocket Fennec. Well, I spent almost all the time by taking photos :-). I'll love those places forever!
Hi, my name is Ladislav, and I'm co-founder of Pocket Fennec - your city guide.
You probably know the usual audioguides, available in castles etc. You can hire out it there. Then you go and can press a specific number to hear the right content.
Our app is designed for outdoor usage and uses GPS. It allows you to put mobile to your pocket and just listen the stories.
Well, it took pretty long time to define all the details, additional time took to discuss it with the developers and to test basic functionalities. Later we worked on the first route, and again - I spend some time by reading the text and visiting Charles bridge to verify timing of the stories.
Suddenly we had the first functional version of app. I was really curious of results.
I cannot explain it by words, but it was totally different perception of the stories, when I could fully concentrate to them as I went from point to point over the bridge. Try to download some of our routes, listen them at home and compare it to experience on-site. Let us know what you felt! :-)
